Director’s message


Welcome to Salinas Adult School!

Salinas Adult School offers classes taught by highly qualified and experienced credentialed teachers. Our teachers are dedicated in providing you with the knowledge and strategies to help you meet the challenges of the future.

Our programs focus on Parent Education, obtaining a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency, Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language (ESL), Vocational ESL, Citizenship and computer courses. Classes are offered mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Salinas Adult School’s Pearson Vue approved Testing Center offers a plethora of testing opportunities that lead to certification in a variety of professional fields: real estate, insurance, cosmetology, etc. The Testing Center also provides HiSET testing and on-site CASAS testing by appointment only.

Our Parent Education program covers parenting of 0-5 age children.  We offer parent & child activity classes, family gardening classes, and preschool.

Our Student Council convenes on a quarterly basis with the purpose of giving feedback on our services and suggesting school improvements. The student engagement and support of school advancement at these meetings are extraordinary.

 

Our Career Center staff assists in accelerating student transitions to a higher level of education or into the workforce.

The community needs are of the highest priority to our staff. To meet the growing needs of adult learners for HSE (High School Equivalency) and ESL we offer off-site classes at various locations.
