HiSET Registration

• Go to test-takers.psiexams.com
• Click on "Sign In / Create Account"
  • Use the EXACT name on your photo ID
  • Take note of your log-in information and PSI ID

Please visit the Salinas Adult School to pay for all HiSET exams. Click here to schedule an appointment with the testing center to pay for an exam. 

• Full Battery (all 5 subjects/3 attempts per subject): $160
• Second Battery (can be purchased after 6 months): $140
• Individual Test (one subject/3 attempts): $52 or $72 (first time testers)

Note: Outside HiSET test agreements DO NOT apply to the Salinas Adult School Test Center.

• Please visit the Salinas Adult School to schedule an exam. 
  • All exams must be scheduled in-person.
  • Exams cannot be scheduled over the phone. Same-day/walk-in testing is not permitted.
  • All test takers must bring their HiSET orange card to schedule an exam. First time test takers will be provided a HiSET orange card upon payment of exam.

Note: First-time testers need to bring their payment receipt and PSI ID number to schedule with staff.

• Check in 30 minutes before your appointment time.
• Bring a valid photo ID (eg: driver’s license, passport, matricula).
  • Bring proof of residency if ID issued outside of California.
• All use of personal electronic devices is prohibited during testing sessions.
• Turn off or silence all electronics before entering the testing room.
• DOORS CLOSE AT APPOINTMENT TIME and you may not enter room.
